Budweiser to Force???

I don't think it's strange at all, actually. Whether or not it uses the product, projects like this get MAJOR exposure. Everybody and their brother will have their eyes on this thing when it comes time to drop the hammer.

I didn't say that Jim. I just don't see JFR plugging drinking Beer in every interview they give.

I'm fairly confident that JFR will plug just about anything that pays the bills, and keeps them on the track.

I'm wondering how Brandon Bernstein feels about Budweiser returning to Drag Racing. I thought I heard him comment, awhile ago, he hasn't retired from driving and maybe a plea to bud, to sponsor him, for old time sake, would be worth a shot

He was going to get the ride over at Kalitta but he declined because of his back. He had a surgery just before that time, so unsure how much healing time he needs before he can get back behind the wheel. He sounds like he loves his job with Alan.

I would rather see Pabst, Molson/Miller/Coors or most of their sub labels than Budweiser. Budweiser, Bud Light, Busch, and Busch Light are all cheep (to Brew) rice Beers. Bud's sub labels are another story, they are for the most part pretty good. Kenny and Jr. did a great job selling bad Beer.

in this article there is a reference to a funny car racer from the mid 80's that may have ties to PPG, and that he was
a guest of force saturday @ BIR......anyone have anything to add to this?

If the beer wars are gonna start up again, my vote is for Larry Dixon to drive a Leinenkugel's Beer Top Fuel car! We are now part of MillerCoors so Larry might still have a lot of contacts at Miller. I even suggested this to him at the GatorNationals. Just have to get the family on-board .

Doesn't seem like this rumor has teeth. Sounds like Force is getting frustrated while trying to fund the future, based on his interview after winning the Traxxas Shootout.

Am I imagining things or did John Force hint that he may put another driver in his car so it could free him up to do business? He had Ashley warming up his car in the pits. I don't see it happening this year, not when he's NUMBER ONE in points. Next year? Just adding my 2 cents to silly season.

You know, there's still enough sponsorship money in the JFR camp to run all 3 FCs and the Dragster next year, assuming Force (for some reason) can't find a replacement. Guys like Densham, Paul Lee, Jim Dunn etc must shake their head in disbelief at the overheads of JFR and DSR. These guys are proof you can get into the 4.0s and upset the big budget dudes. I just can't imagine Force would ever want to race on such a small budget again though.
Compton would be in therapy if Force was without a ride next year!
