Anyone see my Beer Warmer?
Now that's F'd up! I'd rather have it our way....waiting for it to chill! I don't have the patience for either, but DAMN....have to warm your beer? I guess that means it's frozen? NO WAY! I can drink warm beer if I can't wait, but I'd be hurtin' in your 'world'. :D

Working in Bedford, PA this week ... flew into Pittsburgh because our travel secretary does not own an atlas ... had to follow the salt trucks all the way accross the PA Pike on Monday night ... will likely have to do the same on the way back to Pittsburgh tomorrow evening ... can't wait to get back to Vegas!!!

Kelly it's not that bad...we had a Party at the Farm in mid-December on a night where it was around -4°. We had a nice big bonfire and a couple of coolers of Beer and Pop. No ice in the coolers but you had to keep the lids down to keep the Beer from freezing. The Beers got to that perfect temp where they became a slushy once you cracked them.

In the morning I opened the coolers sitting on a trailer in the unheated shed and found all the Miller Lite and Pepsi cans had froze to the point where a couple of the cans exploded. The Hamm's, Michelob, Coke and 7-Up cans didn't freeze...they were a bit slushy but not frozen.

I just hope my my John Deere fires up this weekend. It will make cutting wood a little easier. The diesels don't like the sub-zero stuff. I really enjoy it. I gotta be nuts!

Yep, this weekend is gonna be great. I reluctantly have now abandoned the shorts and put pants on now that it's gonna be like a hundred below zero this weekend. Just kidding.

Pat, I dunno about you, but when the beer gets a little bit of slush in it, like just when it's starting to freeze, that's some of my favorite beer. I try to never drink it from a can, I prefer bottles and it's easier to tell when it's starting to freeze.

Also, Pat, do you ever listen to KQRS in the morning? If so, you're probably familiar with the "Brainerd Cash Call" audio. Your comment about cutting wood reminds me of the old guy who told Ken Thomas of WJJY radio (in a good ol' Northern Minnesota-Swedish accent) "I was out cuttin' wood. I heard the phone ringin' so I run".:)

I hear ya, Brent..you remember here.

We actually were above normal last week..after a stretch of a month below freezing. We've had 26 in of snow..which is about right.

Our winters the last 5-6 yrs have been relatively mild. So we are due.

That is the perfect Beer...just a little slushy!

How could I ever forget? :p I swear for as long as I've been driving that almost without exception there was a roughly 2 week stretch in Jan. where we were lucky if it got above 5 degrees. I became a big believer in Mobil 1 synthetic oil! It was always fun when I got off work at midnight at Amana and wondered if the car would start because it was -10. Just about the time I'd turn onto Hwy 30 from 151 was when the interior was about thawed out. :D I don't miss that weather at all but I might be back in it next year. :(

It's gonna be 27 in the morning here in East Texas, feels like Colorado again only I can breath here. I was huffin' and puffin' up in Cripple Creek a few weeks ago and thank God I don't smoke.
