People, People!!! I was responding to Bob's sarcastic remark! Sheesh!

Linkin Park still rocks! :p

The soundman for Linkin Park is very good friends with some of the Kalitta team and I am sure Brandon has probably met them at the races too. Todd Meyers wrote a blog about their friend, Kevin "Tater McCarthy.

And that's a big surprise? The dudette was a cheerleader. :D
If you have ever been to a cheer competition and witnessed how male 'cheerleaders' work, you would be impressed. How many guys out there can hold a girl above their head with one hand, catch her when she dismounts and pop her up again without missing a beat? They are more athletic than you realize, and they do all this to music that is about 150 beats per minute. I love watching the guys, they are awesome. It is harder than you think, no matter what stigma is attached to it. JMO

Everything seems easy until you try it! I have a niece who was into cheering Bigtime, my sister took her to some out of town competitions and it gets expensive! Then you figure all the hours practicing a routine, it's a Full-time commitment that's for sure!;)

That is for sure, it is very expensive. I served up nachos and hot dogs more than I care to admit to offset the expense. (Thank God for fundraising!)
My daughter did it for 4 yrs in addition to being on my (rec) team for 7 yrs and now she is in her third year of HS cheer.
When we went to competitions, the seats were full mainly when the co-ed teams were performing, especially at college level. The guys are amazing, and I have a hard time hearing snide comments about 'male cheerleaders'. What they do is awesome, and if you haven't seen it you wouldn't know. My daughter loved it, but I told her that when she got to HS she had to give it up. The traveling was extensive and expensive, but it was a great experience. Her goal now is to make it at college. She is into cheering big time too.
Thanks for the comment Joe!!

Back in my day ($#@!) male cheerleader's we're mostly female impersonators (Trying to be PC here) . Today Male cheerleaders are more accepting, plus Gymastics plays such a role anymore. THose guys had better be in shape or they'd get squashed in a hurry!:p

I liked the interview. You people are being to hard on Brandon. I agree with Lori's statement about the cheerleading. And as for buying women's clothes, don't you think it was obvious he was talking about buying for Tracy. As for the comments on the "Stepford Wife's" comment, I guess some of you forgot the interview that was done with Tracy last year, she was talking about how they met. I think they are a very cute couple and IMO Brandon is one of the most personable and approachable drivers in the NHRA. Every time I walked by his pit or souvienor(sp) booth he was out with the fans signing autographs. You guys need to lighten up!!!!!!

There is a big difference from when the camera is on him as opposed to it not being on him when it's on him he is gracious when it isn't he is like Ricky Bobby in autograph mode (a machine)!
He ain't no Mike Ashley....:p
I would have accepted him saying having to pay her shopping bills as opposed to shopping for her if you know what I mean. ;)
I'm just old school that way, I have nothing against Brandon, but that segment made him seem a little wipped. I wouldn't expect you understand. :p

It's funny, I was just discussing the segment with a customer, and we both thought that segment made him look like a whipping boy....:)

I think we need to have a "cheer off" and I bet Brandon would smoke y'all!!! Or even better would be to have a "cheer off" with Will Ferrell and Cheri Oteri!!! SPARTANS READY.......OK!

I wonder how many Weebles he will get at the next race. I hope NHRA goes by the pits to check it out.

I understand what your saying, I just disagree with you!!!!!!:p

Not sure why NHRA pays ESPN2 that kind of coin to watch a really juvenile interview. Sorry for the rant, but I thought it was a complete waste of time.

Nothing against Team Budweiser or anyone affiliated with them it just seem to me to pretty childish and insignificant.

Better time could have been spent promoting the sport to some of those who are watching for the very first time.

That would have been my impression had I surfed onto the channel during that interview!

JMO and it's not worth much!

Tom I agree with you 100% That interview belonged on MTV for my 8 yr old.. Maybe he (BB) is trying to get the EE Fan-base! I'll admit I'm "Over The Hill" and probably a GOM "Grumpy Old Man" but that looked like a piece of "fluff" that Katie Couric should have had on the morning show, or MTV showing it to the "Airhead's" who's IQ in in the 2 digit area..the ones with PINK HAIR etc... etc... yea.. I'm a conservitive... but I still root for a liberal driver if he/she don't make a complete fool of themselves..

OK all you KB fans go and take your shots at me....

Are you trying to say Brandon is more "personable" than Whit Bazmore, WJ, Bill Jenkins, and God Bless him Al Hofmann (RIP)... All of those had what is known as "Charisma" in other words ya gotta get to know them,, BB is a nice guy, but looks and acts like he should Team Up with EE and work in Disney World :D
