Boom Sauce - Brian Lohnes' History of Nitromethane

Just saw on the news this morning Oct 8th.
A NUT JOB got busted in DC at a Church with explosives, one of them Nitro. So immediately I thought if this will make another herdle for the racers to jump over.

I saw that as well. Hopefully this type of incident will not cause more restrictions or costs to racers to obtain it.

It was just reported that the guy arrested and was charged with having a weapon of "mass destruction" (nitromethane). here we go, rules will change now on the sales and handling Nitro.
Larry Sutton---🤠

Nitromethane is used in many different applications other than motorsports. One of it's uses is in the dry cleaning industry.

Fantastic! A ton of research and time went into this, really interesting. Great job Brian!
For as much as we like to complain about the current batch of on-air talent, Brian Lohnes is GOLD. A guy who is clearly passionate about the sport and creates awesome content non-stop. When watching this, I thought to myself, "could you imagine Tony P taking the time to research and release content like this", LOL??

Lohnes is ok, but like any other Reporter, Announcer etc. who works for the Sanctioning organization, that their reporting on, will probably not give a complete unbiased opinion, on all subject matter and follow the 'Don't bite the hand that feeds you' credo and who can blame them!

Agreed James. However, thinking back to the good ol' days of the 80s/90s, I remember both National Dragster and Diamond P broadcasts completely ignoring anything that happened outside of NHRA. When Eddie ran the first 4 in IHRA, its as if it never happened, according to NHRA. At least now, the on-air talent seems to have no fear of making reference to things that happened at the PRO event. They are certainly not promoting it, but don't seem afraid to bring it up either.
