I read once that Lazar wanted to build a jet dragster. Hmmmm I would bet that a lot of UFOs today are secret planes from various countries, including USA.

Whether you think Bob Lazar was a genius or a nutcase (I happen to think he was both!), he had an interesting drag race background. As Chase Knight notes he had a jet dragster. But, before the jet dragster, he had a jet engined Honda Civic that he mentioned in the first part of this Garlits interview. Since Lazar spent much of his life in Los Alamos, NM, he was known to many of us at Albuquerque Dragway. Here are pictures from the Tracy Green Collection of the Civic at ABQ in 1983, as well as some newspaper stories.

Thanks Lyle. Had never seen the story or photos of the jet Honda. BTW, When I listened to that interview, I do think that Lazar worked on something. Wish I knew if it really was a UFO. I do remember that Garlits really got into UFOs for some time.

I did remember a racer named UFO.
