Bob Glidden returns?

Bob is Da Man! Hasn't been a reason for me to watch Pro Stock since Bob retired. I absolutely loved seeing a crew simply outwork the field whatever BS weight changes they hung on them to bring performance back to the rest of the field. Still burns my butt to think of Bob and the gang being penalized for having a better work ethic than the wannabees.

Oh there you go Issi, you just had to turn a nice thread dedicated to Bob Glidden's return at Indy into a Ford vs everyone else debacle. Man, it's a shame that the Mater wasn't around back in the days when the Gliddens and several other prominent Ford drivers were making a laughing stock out of the GM and Mopar brands. Hmmmm, let's see, which prominent US Auto Manufacturing companies had to have our government bail them out before they went bankrupt? Oh yeah, it was Chrysler and GM. Save your chest thumping for a more meaningful topic.

It's ok to be blind to history, Vince. MOST of us remember Bob hopping into whatever it took (Pinto, Fairmont, Arrow, Mustang, OLD Mustang) and removing the doors from EVERYONE'S vehicle....including WJ. They better dial a couple of tenths into WJ's side of the tree so he can leave at the same time Bob does though.

WOAH-NELLIE, didn't mean to start a ? vs ? lol:D Heck I like 'em ALL.

But...now that it's open...I think all would agree that no one in the history of the class, has DOMINATED Pro-Stock, like Bob Glidden......no one.

(ps) that includes Edwards and Anderson. jmo

Erica went 6.66, makes me wonder if Bob will go quicker.

Edit, Glidden goes 69, Yep he's still got what makes him a legend, he should run every now and then on tour and in 2011, especially at the home of his last 2 wins (national event and Pro Stock Challenge).

You people are dreaming. It'll be the same 16 that always qualify... Indy or not!

By the way........Warren always was the best engineer, but not always the best driver.:p

Bob made the local news tonight. The NHRA wouldn't get this exposure without him!

The fact that they have that car within 11 hun is pretty impressive to me... I don't think they will get in, but this should ncourage them. I hope he decides to stay after it for a while.

Ok come on, what's on the shirt?? what does it say?? (please) ;)

it was a parody of the famous Geico Line "It's so easy a caveman can do it" but it says something like "It's so easy a Blind Man can drive it" in reference to the Ray Charles comment WJ made @ Seattle and Fuel Cars, I think I remember Alan mentioning about it on the PA.

Here's a couple pics of it from Comp Plus

Ok it says "Ain't nothin to it....Even a Blind Cat can Do it"

and if you listen to WFO at 15:36 of the show, it's all fun and good taste.
