race starts two weeks from yesterday ..... so far full fields in FC and TF. love it.
- looking for more alcohol cars to enter next week. trend lately has been good field of TAD's and not so much for TAFC's.
- wouldn't that be something if chris vang could go #1 in PS again. pretty sure he debuted in PS at BIR last year? elite/patterson performance.
- hoping someone would step up to sponsor race with departure of lucas oil. IMO 50/50 chance of at least a presenting sponsor by next week.
- last year american rebel beer sponsored friday night low Q. nothing announced yet.
- 4 day events so far this year car/class count. gainesville(481)16 classes / zmax(428)16 classes / joliet(389)15 classes / norwalk(489) 16 classes BIR(375)13 classes and growing ......
- a few more comp and TS entries would be nice
- ron capps is race legend. being of similar age, it is possible i could actually be a legend in my own mind.
- everybody at brainerd loves ron capps. i will purposely not pick him in PTW. he will hold the trophy in FC for sure....AGAIN
- wish they would still run class on friday of nationals. not. they are contesting class prior week at BIR double D

Day after Seattle Brainerd Nationals is just over 3 weeks away. Drag racing withdrawls after two back to back great races, then the U.S. Nationals on Labor day and summer is over with five races to go. Capps needs to win as Beckman is 37 behind, Kalitta 5 behind Langdon and native son Anderson 8 behind Glenn. Three part timers each in FC and TF filled out the fields. Hope the heat and wildfires are over and we get some of that great Minnesota weather like last year.

woops. i'm so used to the 2 week break from seattle to brainerd. went to three weeks last year as bandimere closed.
the northern part of MN had major storms roll through over the weekend helping the fires. my conspiracy theory is that when that
smoke made it to the east coast the gov't started seeding the clouds ...... 6 races after indy

well, it was wild in past decades. not so much anymore, but stoopid things still happen.
capps curve will be a traffic jam as usual, other locations will as well. i would guess ronald capps and maddie will
show up on band stage at some point on fri. or sat. early evening. also going to figure out where the megarita is
prior to sundown so i don't miss that. should fire both nights. palmer is back this year. he may or may not be part
of this year's megarita? zoo will be rockin' all week due to double D the weekend prior. lot of folks hang out for the duration.
