This is a great video that brought back many memories. for those of you that read these post's on this site and have never driven a fuel dragster and made a thousand plus runs in one like I have. I am sure it is hard for you to believe when Clay said he felt something in such a short amount of seconds, when you first start driving a top fuel dragster the only thing you feel is you heart pounding and you butt hole getting tight. after many many runs you fell everything during the run. these videos from Clay give you a better understanding of what goes on in the seat of a fuel car. thank you Clay for this video.

It will not happen but it would be nice to hear a explanation of why nobody from PRO could get ahold of the decision makers from the NHRA. NHRA claims they are a professional organization but they're are times they act like amateurs.
 
From what I understand PRO wanted to run singles in the RT lane but NHRA said no because there would not be enough time for all the cars to run. The fans would have loved to see as many singles as possible in great conditions. How many times do they start a session with rain highly possible before all cars get to run ?
 
i believe in clay's Q utube video, there is small mention of a PRO request to perform additional prep on the left lane, but was denied, and sunlight became a problem.
i have to agree completely with what b. o'keefe said earlier. brainerd has never wanted, or will want lights. they are smack dab in middle of a wealthy area. shut the cars off when it gets dark.
peaceful co-existence with neighborhood.
 
When people started talking about Antron to Funny Car and Angelle taking over the dragster I was saying "yeah that's a good one". Now I'm not so sure...

In all my days of participating (low level) and following drag racing I've never witnessed a driver with a more positive attitude, even in the face of advrsity, than Clay Millican. What a racing treasure he is.

I'm real sure about that. Antron wins lots of races based on his quick, consistent reaction times. Angelle lost a lot of races in her later years due to her wildly inconsistent reaction times, which I assume is why she doesn't currently have a ride. If Antron wants a driver for his TF there's better choices. Just my opinion and nothing against Angelle. She was one hell of a competitor back in the day.

can still be great again. i believe it's a people thing, and that stuff between ears. best wishes to her.
 
yesterday was thinking capps has won @ BIR 5 or 6x, but today one of stories said it was 7th @ BIR.
wish i could find a list of all his wins there and what years.
i remember the black car winning waaaay back....either u.s. tobacco or cope, or both
would take guess that a skoal car may have won it, and same with brut.
the rest with napa.

I think it’s awesome Angelle is taking the step to try something different, and not just jumping in the deep end of the pool. Many have differing opinions about her, but she is a great spokesperson and competitor. So whatever she wants to do is fine with me. She hasn't had the easiest of lives or careers, and once you get this in your blood, it's about the hardest thing to overcome. The McPhillips won't lead her astray, and I wish her nothing but the best and good times.

I would imagine that the only reason Antron has her sitting in the car doing these warm-ups is because she is family. They are related by marriage somehow. As I recall, Antron is married to her cousin, or something like that.
