The reason I ask is that body Billy is running, is an ex-Budweiser King Tempo he got at Indy 1986 after he grenaded a blower in the lights and lost his Mustang body.

Rare photos of William Meyer's funny cars would include those with the three-mag Hemi and the Ford BOSS Hemi. I think I have one somewhere of the 3-plug set-up.

I'm guessing this is from 1987 and the Tempo body became his spare. I do remember him running that body at Maple Grove in 1986 after getting it from Bernstein, and there was a painter still hand lettering the car at Reading. I thought he had switched to the yellow Olds Firenza body in 1987.

i was there as well, the gentleman doing the lettering was Henry the Brush.
