Grumpy was an icon of the sport, and as recognizable as any drag racer there ever was. The first "great" drag racing photo I took was of Grumpy in his original Pro Stock Vega with the "wheels up" at the old Beeline Dragway. I wish I could find that pic as it was pure luck that I captured it. I was a forever fan of him from that point on. Jackee, thanks for posting the link to his guestbook. I'm not sure if it is just a ploy or not, but the Guestbook states it will only be online and available through today unless someone anties up to keep it online for a year or longer. Did anyone else read it that way?

RIP Grumpy. We'll miss you. Thanks for the great memories.
