Drag racing lost another of the "good ones" today. Please remember Crites and his family in your prayers.

He shot my wedding 16 years ago. I remember him trying to set my then-wife and I on fire trying to get that right shot.

Crites...you are missed.

Mitch, when I was an intern at NHRA I worked with Bill and of course Les Lovett in the dark room. What great guys both of them were. It's been a terrible week as drag racing has lost some good people.

The World has lost another gentle soul. I don't think there was a mean bone anywhere in Bill's body. With all the drivers we've lost, I guess God needed another "shooter" to document the goings-on.

Bill was one of the most animated and colorful guys in the trenches. He always had a great story from the good old days. Bill always brought a smile to my face when I ran in to him. He will be missed. RIP Bill.

Getting to talk to Bill was an escape from the everyday stresses. His stories both amazed me and cracked me up. And if you could tell him a story that would get a big laugh out of him, it gave you the best feeling.

Bill enjoyed much of the little things in life, so much of which he photographed and shared. He was very generous.

Bill was truly our big kid. I will miss him.
