You're right. It's confusing when all the McDonalds are named the same.just can't get my head wrapped around renaming all their properties. galot out, darana-dunn in.
IMO the unique venue names identify the property and location. same name stuff seems confusing. jmho.

I’m sorry I was feeling a bit snarky after seeing people complain about a name for the 1000th time…JMO, but I would have thought that someone in a leadership position at the IHRA might be happy to provide some insights into the thought process of renaming IHRA dragstrips (as asked by Mike Larson) rather than providing a smart ass response, but I guess I was wrong. Great way to represent the company and gain new fans Josh, good luck with that!
Appreciate the response Josh, and the honesty as well!I’m sorry I was feeling a bit snarky after seeing people complain about a name for the 1000th time…
To properly answer Mike’s question… Darryl does what Darryl wants to do. Does he have a method to his madness? Likely. Do we always know what that method is? No. But it likely has to do with benefits like tax incentives/write-offs, marketing, etc. It is a business, after all.
There are 3 on top of each other so far, I haven't checked if there on 4 wide dates. IHRA locations should be out at Sema or PRI I would think.I hope that in 2026 the IHRA schedules a race against both of the NHRA 4 wides so we’ll have something to watch.
