I spent many Sunday afternoons in my youth watching NASCAR on ESPN, listening to BP, Bob Jenkins and Ned Jarrett. To me, they will always be the voices of NASCAR. BP, you are already missed ....
BP was very kind to me at a rough time in my life and I will always remember him as a person who was exactly as he appeared to be on TV. He went from driving a taxi in Detroit to the top levels of motorsports - and was still a taxi driver at heart.
Survivors include his mother Hazel Parsons; wife Terri Parsons; sons Keith and Kevin Parsons; brothers Steve and Phil Parsons; sister Patty Severt; and granddaughters Emily and Libbie Parsons. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Connie E. Parsons Memorial Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 443, Ellerbe, NC 28338; Victory Junction Gang Camp; or the Blumenthal Cancer Research Center.(PRN/LMS PR) Jayski's® Silly Season Site
