A friend of mine sent me one of those forwarded emails with pictures of the track. Doesn't look anything like it did when I went to the first Hot Rod Reunion!

That is a great little place to watch a race, I had a great time at both the Hot Rod Reunion and Goodguys Nostalgia Nationals there. Sorry to see the damage caused by mother nature, but pic #58 in Troy's album looks as though the racing surface is OK ...

How did they get rid of all that water? Had to be 10' deep in parts!

You got that right, Chris. You haven't experienced anything until you've experienced nitro cars while sitting under those pavillions.

We're supposed to run there on June 8th for the Hot Rod Power Tour. Not sure if it will be ready then or not.

being at the hot rod reunion a few times there, there is nothing like that place. Something about the nostalgia top fuel and funny cars run there and the caklefest it is a unique experience.

I've been to race tracks all over and my absolute favorite in the world is Beech Bend. I dont know how to say it, it just has a sat night kinda atmosphere I guess. It broke my heart to see it like that. There's one pic where you can only see the top of the score boards, everything else is under water. Crazy. I hope everything turns out ok.
