What did the Lucas's do to get drawn into this nonsense? They won a couple of races last year ... will likely win a couple of more this year. In fact, didn't Langdon got to the semis yesterday? I hardly think they are "miserable".

All of the "foof" mentioned with Copart is called "sponsorship activation" and it is good for the team and sport. It likely came from the Copart folks to maximize their investment in the sport while at the track with direct customer contact ... likely had/has very little to do with KB. Those tend to be the sponsors that stick around, as opposed to companies that just stick a label on the side of the car and disappear at the end of the season.

And the R+D you mentioned with AA Dale, well, that was when there was R+D and development to be had. Now, everybody basically runs with parts out of the same bin as regulated by NHRA. Again, has little to do with KB.

Unlike some folks around here, I am under no delusions, KB has forgotten more than I will ever know about running a professional race team ... I am more than willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. If he needs to make a change, he will. Like I said earlier, with the Countdown format, no reason to get into a big hurry to make changes for change's sake.

Nothing against Rob Flynn but Bernsteins need to get a top notch CC,im sure copart is a 1 yr deal and if they want a sponsor for next year they need to start going rounds and or win races. Donnie Bender would work out!!

Donnie bender will be working with Anita makela's top fuel team this year over here in europe.

EXACTLY! I do think that the same basic tune up can get different results base on many things (chassis, parts, crew, etc...). Sometimes the tried and true approach fails and the attempted changes do also. These guys don't get "stupid" they just struggle with the parts they have. He'll find a home soon.
