I LOVE it! Thanks for posting that Paul:)

I mean, look at that tube front axle, the high stance, and the old M & Hs!

halibrand wheels, too!

Kinda wierd that this DRO Mecury drag car article only has one pic of a Don Nicholson's car? How can you have such a feature without incorporating Dyno Don's cars for about half the article?

Just wonderin'............

PS - the pic of Chrisman's original Comet is one of the most iconic and awe inspiring of the early Funny Cars. The look of that car is just perfect. I happened to be at Connecticut Dragway back in the 80's when Jim Barrilaro was debugging his restoration and to actually hear this hi gear only car make a pass was downright spiritual.

What is even more awesome is to have been there and watched that car many times.

One of Jacks later cars had the pipes come off the motor and angle back and down.

When he was on a pass at night, it looked like the car was riding on top of a huge fireball, all the way down.

This is my favorite....

Both those cars are now owned by Jim Barrillaro. Use to live 3 miles from me -I worked for him off+ on thru the years. He's now residing in Tn.
