I don't think Mach 1 is gonna pony up 2 mil to be a title sponsor. I have heard that there is no title sponsor for the fourth Force FC until 2008.
Ford and Castrol are reportedly eager to have Ashley racing, but are not
wiiling to foot the entire bill for 2007. Also . . . hearing that there are some reservations at JFR if Ashley is ready. We'll know soon - fire 'em up!

How hard is the sell gonna be on that?? ANY company that grabs the side of that car is absolutely going to become a known name brand in a heartbeat. The press is going to be massive, and completely off the scale if she starts to go rounds. I don't see how 2 Million Buck ducks aren't lining up at the doors in Yorba Linda yet...

The entire season with bonus interviews and un-aired footage is available on DVD from A&E. I bought the set for my truck-driver buddy (who hadn't seen any of it) as a Christmas gift. Now I gotta get it back from him so I can see the bonus stuff!

Since I heard(?) that Ashely couldn't complete Frank Hawley's TAFC course. I'm not convinced AF will be successful in the Fuel car. Remember Robert Hight made over 40 Laps before his first season, how many has Ashely made?
I'm willing to eat crow if she ends up proving me wrong, but based on what a couple of Flopper pilots in Vegas were telling me about the Vast differences between a A-Fuel Dragster and a Nitro FC. I'm going to play the wait and see game.

As persnickety as John has been about this whole process do you think there's a chance in hell he'd put her in the seat if a) she wasn't comfortable with it or b) he didn't think she was ready?

Should be great for drag racing and she will do fine. Anyone here could drive a fuel car on a NHRA prepared track as you could one-hand the butterfly from 700 ft on on most passes.
Joe mentioned the Hawley school and I heard the same. She stumbled and could not get past the shake and complained about this or that and a 42 year old mother of three jumped in the same car/same afternoon and ran
back-to-back 6.20's.
Force racing has been under alot of pressure by Ford Mustang to get her in a Ford Funny Car as Medlen and Hight fans are not buying new Mustangs.
Rumor had it Medlen and Hight are finished after 2007 to make JFR the only father/daughter team.
She will be very successful due to the amount of support. I think she is a pretty young woman who can drive a A/FD well but the flopper seems like it scares her.......
You could put a friggen monkey in a JFR car and it would win.

agree with tom on that one.....just going to the test sessions at route 66 the day after the national events the last 2 years i have seen her make about 7 runs (albeit not full track) but factor in preseason testing last year, the tindy tests and all the monday testing, i bet she has well over 50 laps under her belt
How long ago was she at Hawley's?? I seem to remember she went there a couple years ago, right around the time she moved from Stupid Comp to A/fuel to make a couple hits in the TAFC but that's all. I didn't hear if she went more recent then that.
I think she may have a couple rookie issues to start out with, but she will be just fine.
Just get the chutes out on time in Pomona.
