Anybody know a publisher?

I have this book that I finished a little bit ago (June of '06). So far, I had NO luck on optaining a publisher. The issue is that when I first coined the book, I originally planned it to be a short story but that was thrown out the window as it grew to 35 chapters and 300+ pages. But as such, many of the first chapters are fairly short.

So, what I'm asking you is do any of you know anyone that could help me out here? HINT: The lead character shares all of our main interest.

I don't know a publisher, but I know a writer. Gimme a few days & lemme see what I can do. Got anything you can offer as a taste?

I'd need to know more about it... My brother is a ghost writes in NYC and he knows a lot of people. I may be able to help but he will need to be "convinced" to dole out a contact or connection as is the way in the big city.

Have you investigated options through your local university? There is more to the publishing industry than packaging and printing..... Online publishers are catching on in certain market segments, and there are regional opportunities at some major chain stores...

Another thing is you really want an editor to review it prior to approaching a publisher....
