I just picked up the new LG KF750 Secret (so Secret that I can't find it on their website to download a manual in English!! )...(EDIT: Found it.. LG SECRET )
Pretty amazing piece of technology- 5 megapixel camera, touch screen activation with a slideout alpha-numeric keypad, shoots great videos and plays like an iPod, takes micro-SD chips (not the new 8Gb ones tho..), and has a tempered glass face and a carbon-fibre back (looks like Force's Sonoma car )...
Worked great in Europe, works great here (or has for the past 12 hours since I've been back )- I'm on T-Mobile, and you can bet your bottom dollar that they have NO IDEA what this phone is, but anything that takes a SIM chip and a 120v AC charge is good for me..
I use my camera phone for shop stuff like taking pictures of parts and sending them to my techs to make sure I didn't drive 30 miles out of the way for the wrong part, and take lots of pictures of the kids and just oddball things that I see along the way.
Jenn, I haven't had Verizon in a while and only know one person who has had one but he posted a thread on the forum I'm a mod on (we have an Other Carriers and Phones section since we have a lot of Sprint defectors - I'm known as Quill over there).
His thread (if you ignore some of the bickering, heh) might be helpful:
Also, if you want to look for other user reviews I'd suggest scoping out the user reviews for the Flipshot on amazon.com and on cnet.com. If you find the editorial review for the Flipshot on Cnet, scroll down past that to read up on what other users have to say about it, too.
I find that other user reviews are always far more helpful than editorial reviews because frankly tech writers are geeks. They don't look at phones the same way most folks do.
I've only had one Samsung, my first color phone but I was happy with it till I lost it.
I will not buy a motorola and I've had 3 different LG models so far that I've loved other than the fact that they are not waterproof, don't handle having the wrong charger jammed in them by a overzealous 5 year old, and don't survive being tossed from the top of a rag top convertable on the street. (Don't put things on the top of the roof and slam the door, it creates a trampoline like effect). Thank goodness for insurance.
My current LG8700 I've had to have replaced 4 or 5 times because of the camera having lines on the pictures (they couldn't find any physical damage to cause the problem and didn't blame me dropping it too often, but they covered it under warranty and not through my insurance), and because I thought it'd be a good idea to jam ohm probes in the battery while it was still in the phone.
