It looks like there will be a pretty decent car count. Are there any maters going to Houston?

I will be making my first trip to the track. I have meetings on Friday and will be at the track on Saturday and Sunday. Look forward to seeing everyone!

I'll be there with the usual suspects...... Greg Rice, our favorite Canadian Mark Krogen, Justin League and Kelly Holmes and a cast of thousands.

Anyone wanting to catch up, PM me here and I will shoot you my cell number.

Let's hope nobody gets "Houston Drunk"!! ;)

Got to work , when are you leaving to go down???

340 fuel coupe BBQ sauce is in order for the trip
The truck is not in Chicago Kevin. I have it in California. I'm leaving thursday so I can stop in San Antonio to watch a bracket race this weekend. I still have some left from the last bottle. You can bring me a bottle to the Chicago race if you have any left. cya later Kevin

Will one of you guys bring Kelly Holmes by the pit? I have heard so much about her, but I have never got to meet her.

I'm probably not going for the first time since they opened the track....what a drag.

I've been in training all winter Paulie, so there will be no repeat of last year. I even tested myself in Vegas and came thru just fine.

I think Greg still has my sweatshirt too.

I just got my tickets for the race and I was shocked with the limited amount of tickets to pick from. That place is close to a sell out. Good thing I was only getting one ticket, because I would have been sh*t out of luck if I needed 2 grouped together. Now I have only been in the area for a few days, but I am not sure how the race ended up getting a date in late April. I would think a month earlier would provide better watching conditions as it is a tad on the hot and humid side (my body is still used to Chicago weather).

Paul, unless you can stomach LONG Traffic lines, you had better prepare to get there Early, especially Sat/Sun! Take Exit 799 off of the 10 freeway, much faster!!!!

Paul, it used to be a month earlier but they moved it back for 2 good reasons. First, Houston is the first ADRL race of the year, and they were having to have it at the end of Feb and it was always very cold and crappy. And the NHRA is always plagued by rain at that time of year. So they moved both back a month. ADRL took the org. NHRA date, and NHRA moved back to last weekend of April. It works out better this way even though you are right, it is warmer now.

No,I don't like long lines. That's why I like Rt. 66, they have the same amount of Police handling traffic for the NHRA race as they do for the NASCAR race and the traffic flow in and out of that track is awesome. I plan on getting to the track by 9am on both Sat. and Sun. I will give you a call Joe and we can grab a beer.

My First year at Baytown was '93, and I was staying with my sister in West Houston about 60 miles from the track! That Sunday it took us an Hour and 20 minutes to get parked, the line went all the way to I-10 about 4 miles. The 799 ramp has cut that Way down, but when I tell people to get to the track by 9 AM, they think I mean leave the House by 9! Then they wonder why they miss first round!
