P.I.D. was leased to group calling themselves Atco corp-.Cecil was leased by the same -partners would take their turn running the strips I believe Les Medvane ? ran pittsburgh
Thanks. Les Medvane was one of the four partners. Paul Jaffee was my friend's father and also a partner. The other two partners were Paul Katz and Edwin Rosner.

Back in the mid-60s, Jim Liberman and Lew Arrington shared an apartment across the street from me in Cherry Hill during the summer. Liberman's 66 Chevelle and Arrington's '65 Brutus GTO were often parked in the street on their slant haulers.

This makes me sad, Atco was the first track I ever went to as a kid and was where I was introduced to nitro. I lived less than 10 minutes from the track when I was a kid.

Same here. I remember a match race night with Jim Liberman, Lew Arrington, Bruce Larson and Larry Reyes. I think it was Reyes. It was the Kingfish Barracuda.

Add "Atco Jack" Muselli to the list of initial owners.

Just saw an ad on E bay to sell the entire 5,000 seat aluminum bleacher assembly for 390k. Buyer is responsible for disassembly and removal.

My second home track outside of Tucson ( we just bought a house about 25 minutes from the track last year). Word in the neighborhood is that the track had some plans to improve that were shot down by the township, and they owners basically raised a high middle finger to the governing board and said "We're Out".

Sad

yeah that's pretty bad, especially if the improvements included noise abatements.

I have no artistic ability whatsoever, I'm lucky to draw a straight line with a ruler, but I think it would be funny if someone designed a "coexist" sticker with auto parts/racing parts spelling it out. Seen it with guns.

Glad they were able to step up and do it on such short notice. Was hoping possibly Lebanon Valley would get involved as that's a two hour drive for me versis a 5 plus to the grove. Hats off to the Koretsky family..

Hi, can you post the link to the ad? My wife said we can buy the whole thing and put in our backyard as a remembrance of the track. Most people just buy one or two seats from old stadiums and such - I want to get all 5,000!!!

Second row:

Len is smart to not announce who the buyer is. He wants to get his money and walk away so that the new owners will have to deal with all the permitting bullshit that's yet to come.

According to the article, settlement took place before the Pan-American race. He has his money.

Why would someone buy the property without making sure the permits would be approved?
