Wow close one for Mr. Anderson, glad all is well. Let's go racing. Bet it was tough for Greg to sit out that long.

Damn. Not sure who else here besides me has had their sternum sawed in half... two times and counting; ( oh there's another coming) but I can somewhat speak with authority on this. Hear me out. I was born with what's called a congenital heart defect - specifically, mine is called Pentalogy of Fallot. I had open heart surgery at age 5, then again 2 years ago at age... well uh - yeah. Of course back when I was 5, I had alot of drugs and love from my family. But 2 years ago....knowing the recovery time (6 weeks minimum), for the life of me, I can't IMAGINE getting into a race car with dual shoulder harnesses. Holy Sith! My Dr. said I could drive a street car once I was able to hold the sterring wheel and look over my shoulder as if changing lanes... and that took a long, long time. You have no idea how much you use your chest muscles every minute of every day.... until you've been through something like this. To drive a race car after this like GA did... is the stuff superheros are made of. I I hist you not. I kind of wish Greg would embrace this and talk about it more. Congenital Heart Disease affects people around the globe; and it should be talked about and awareness raised. Most notable, Snowboarder Shaun White and NFL Bronco's Coach John Fox also have survived this disease, among others.

Chris, I had the saw job and I can't imagine how he can stand the launch, or the chutes hit. I don't care what kind of vest they have him in.
Must be some pretty strong pain meds.........
