when a crew chief leaves a team, isnt all the data on the log property of the team (dsr)? if so, then dsr has all they need to suceed, taking nothing away from mike green , but he isnt in alan johnsons league. its funny now that tony has won 2 in a row, everyone is saying he is kicking butt , unstoppable ect ect ect, but when the same people heard alan johnson has unlimited money and larry dixon driving, even the biggest of dsr fans had to be worried. but to mee it looks like alan has little in making the calls ( for now), seems jason is the man, and he is a rookie crew chief. they are going through more growing pains than the army team for now. for all those who think tony will win 15 again, and alan johnson is nothing or alan who? i just gotta laugh at that. my money is on alan johnson!

Is that the log that contains tuning information on parts that AJ supposedly did not leave with the team between races when he was tuning?
Seems odd that info would work on non-"AJ'ed" parts. -

Don't forget that Lee Beard didn't fall off the pumpkin wagon as it went pass Shoe's shop. He has been burning Nitro longer than AJ by many years.

I don't think anyone, even tony is expecting to win 15 and in no way and I don't think anyone is trying to say Alan is struggling or anything like that. i think that everyone thought would struggle and it looked like it earlier in the season. I think they bounced back in a way nobody really expected them to. When the smoke clears in Pomona 2 I expect to see Dixon ontop as well.

So they won another one aye? good on them , the race hasnt been aired down here yet will watch it later today . Who cares how they won , the fact is they won so good on them . I have never run nitro but I no people who have and they may rebuild those motors every round but it isn't a just bolt stuff on tip the can game its a brain game if you don't have the brains you arent going to go very far . I have heard through the grape vine that sure the engine in top fuel and funny car may look the same on the outside but the setups on the inside can be different from team to team . I know people who have visited teams shops and been told NO PHOTOS of anything .

AJ didn't exactly have much success the first go round with the floppers. Besides, too early in the year to start micro-managing, that team will come around.
It was a great day for Tony, Mike, and the Army Team. Last week Tony saved the day and yesterday Mike had the car under Tony! A great team effort, congrats. I was happy regardless of the outcome in the final round since it had my 2 favorites. I can only hope the closeness in TF stays this way throughout the year.

Congrats to the Army team. Although, I still think it's early to write anyone off, especially Dixon & McCulloch. Way too many rounds of racing remain out there. Who started the "Alan Who" line? DSR or ESPN? Either way, not the smartest thing to do.
