Good post.
Satan knows God exists.
Admission is not acceptance.

What is it about this deal that people don't get. Force can't admit to diving because it's against the rules. This has taken on a life of it's own..now it's down to Force being a good Christian and admit he took a dive for the team. JUST ADMIT IT and all is well. (the next thread will be he's going to hell because of it..hehe)
We're beyond the border of absurd.![]()
I don't see where this needs to take a religious turn, and I can see nothing good coming out of this topic. If there is a legitimate rule against taking a dive (a rule which must only exist within a supplementary rule book), and John did what was best for his team to make sure all of his cars were in the Countdown, but is prevented from admitting it by said rule, then why would you expect him or ANY other team owner who would have also done the exact same thing, in the exact same situation, to admit it?
So if he gave a sworn testimony that he did not intentionally throw the race, then you would accept that? All of a sudden you would believe him? I doubt that. "He will have to live with his decision after that", that statement alone shows condemnation. Not trying to get all "religious" but since you want to go there, the good part of it is, "THE GOD HE PROFESSES TO BELIEVE IN", realizes we are mere humans who are prone to many failures in life which keep us separated from Him. That is why He made the ultimate sacrifice for each of us when He sent His Son to die for us. Even if Force were to take you up on such a ridiculous offer, it changes nothing even if he didn't admit it. Our relationship with God is not based on living a perfect life. Should we be the example? Absolutely. Are we always the example? NO.
I find it laughable that so many people here, including a prominent team owner, have no problems throwing stones, yet I would bet 1000 to 1 odds that there is not a single team out there that could give sworn testimony before whatever God they choose to believe in that they absolutely would not do the same thing given the exact same situation. If they could swear they wouldn't do it before their God, then I would accept that and move on. They would have to live with their decision after that.
Dave....I'll let you in something.... God does not need to be invited....He is already there. What a great idea!!! After Bruton Smith's John Force vs The Pedregon's cage match, Bruton could bring in God for a special apearence before after qualifying ends and then John could swear to him. Oh, then afterwords, John and God could sign autographs till the sun comes up. WOW!!!
