John tells us over and over that he believes in God. OK... lets have a real investigation into the race between Robert and John[ not a five minute review and decision from Graham Light] And LET JOHN FORCE GIVE SWORN TESTIMONY IN FRONT OF THE GOD HE PROFESSES TO BELIEVE IN.
Question- did you ,John Force, come to the start line with the intention of losing the race and did you follow through with that plan.
I will then accept whatever John says and move on. He will have to live with his decision after that.

I don't see where this needs to take a religious turn, and I can see nothing good coming out of this topic. If there is a legitimate rule against taking a dive (a rule which must only exist within a supplementary rule book), and John did what was best for his team to make sure all of his cars were in the Countdown, but is prevented from admitting it by said rule, then why would you expect him or ANY other team owner who would have also done the exact same thing, in the exact same situation, to admit it?

So if he gave a sworn testimony that he did not intentionally throw the race, then you would accept that? All of a sudden you would believe him? I doubt that. "He will have to live with his decision after that", that statement alone shows condemnation. Not trying to get all "religious" but since you want to go there, the good part of it is, "THE GOD HE PROFESSES TO BELIEVE IN", realizes we are mere humans who are prone to many failures in life which keep us separated from Him. That is why He made the ultimate sacrifice for each of us when He sent His Son to die for us. Even if Force were to take you up on such a ridiculous offer, it changes nothing even if he didn't admit it. Our relationship with God is not based on living a perfect life. Should we be the example? Absolutely. Are we always the example? NO.

I find it laughable that so many people here, including a prominent team owner, have no problems throwing stones, yet I would bet 1000 to 1 odds that there is not a single team out there that could give sworn testimony before whatever God they choose to believe in that they absolutely would not do the same thing given the exact same situation. If they could swear they wouldn't do it before their God, then I would accept that and move on. They would have to live with their decision after that.

This shows you are an idiot, just go away!

Why do I just know that this would just lead to the much-anticipated FORCE IS A HERETIC thread?

To every post, theres some insight. Don't insult people....

I don't take JF to be a liar. Neither does Barry. Maybe without getting religious, if JF went on record as saying he didn't take a dive, then I'd tend to believe him too.

To date, I haven't heard or read him going on record as saying he didn't take a dive though.

He took a dive period. But NHRA wont do anything. If it was some1 else it would be a diffrent story. When Robert won 2nd round and Force won Robert said i cant believe we did it,well they didnt do it by then, it was the next round they did it,so it was all pre planned.

Wrong Jeremy, it has happened many times before and NHRA hasnt done anything about it. There isint anything they can do about. Its there fault in the first place.

I was proud of Ashley F.during the entire ordeal....she just calmly said that a lot was on the line and emotions run high.Force and the Pedregons are all good guys that just lost control of their emotions and mouths....THEY ARE HUMAN ! I've been known to cuss and throw tools at MY job too ! This was a GOOD thing for the sport that has become so "PC". I've had tons of workmates and friends ( that don't follow the sport )talking about the incident to me...wanting to know more about the sport. John lied and Tony cried....BFD !

I can almost bet that if this were the other way around it would be redone. NHRA caters to JFR. Guess it is what it is,i know 1 thing I dont care who it is Racing against any of the Force cars i will never be a JFR fan again.

Nick lets try and ignore Craig I think he forgot to take his medication today. But yes, lets hear JF say-- I promise you I did not take a dive. Thats all I want to hear. He's the one who's always talking about God.

Really, guys, the horse is dead. How many ways can you hear it? He CANNOT say he took a dive or it would confirm he broke the rules, the NHRA would take the win away and defeat the purpose. So he's not going to EVER say he definitely dove or didn't one way or the other. In public, in private, ever.

Of course John Force took a dive! He's a business man who enjoys what he does for a living and wants to have a sponsor next year. It was the only thing he could and more importantly the only thing he should have done. I suspect that you won't hear anything further from the Force camp. Just get over it.

I'm guessing the Ped's now understand why they have no money and will not have sponsors next year. That's why they are being such bawl bags cause someone is taking (AAP - Quaker State) the bawl bags toys and going where they understand and take care of business. Not that Force acted very professionaly but the Pedregon's made fools out of themselves and did it on national TV. Can you spell stupid? It's spelled P E D R E G O N!

Chris-- if he didn't do it let him say he didn't and i believe him. If he doesn't say anything then as far as I'm concerned he guilty. And I will now stop beating the horse and as far as i am concerned its dead. Now let's focus on how we can get Chris Eagle into an anger management program before his head explodes
