Thanks for the link. Very cool. It also went to the AHRA World Finals which was just as good as I didn't realize that such a telecast existed as I was there.

Wish Ontario was still around! I thought the Stands at Sonoma were far from the track, Ontario was ridiculous!

can you imagine the shut down there now with todays cars? That was a treat to watch. Oh if I had a time machine....

A lot of great memories in those clips. Many thanks for linking us up. And ummmmm...did I see a few of you wiping some mist from one eye?

That really was a treat, thank you! That is the drag racing I grew up with and why I love the sport...
Even the show itself was, in my opinion, far superior to what we get now...

Great stuff Bobby. I see that John Force missed the turn off there too. :p

After watching these, with the burnouts, dry hops and all, I can't help but mention, how damn butt ugly the current Floppers are, when compared to the good old days. :( Crank up the time machine folks or go see the N/FC for sure. :D

Thanks Bobby. That's when TV interviews were interviews and not a sponsor plug in party. Hey, I was there at the '79 Finals.
