I can hardly believe it has been that long.
I will never forget that day.... I remember FOX did not really cover Dale's accident that much (mostly covering Waltrip winning) so I thought it was a minor accident.... then later logging on to NASCAR.com and seeing the headline "Dale Earnhardt Dead"..... I remember the disbelief that went through my mind

That was the last NASCAR that I have been to. I lost all desire after that day. Our seats were coming out of the 4th turn, so we were about as close to it as anyone. I didn't think it was that bad until Ken Schrader went up to his car window, and I soon as he looked in he started waving for help. I told my wife it was time to go, I knew it was bad. It's still hard to watch the tapes of him winning the 500.
