Guys, I have nothing against the man I just dont think its safe to be putting a 72 year old man in a 200 mph race car. If he makes the show he will have to spend 3 to 4 hours in a race car. I am just worried about his safety and everyone else's on the track as well. I wish him the best of luck. I dont think he will make it, and if he does somehow, then I think he wont last that many laps.
If he makes the show, all he'll have to do is go 1 lap, and he'll make more$$ than most Pro Dragracers will make all year.:p

Thats whats sad, the difference from Nascar to NHRA $$$ wise.

And Bobby, between age and ability I understand what everyone is saying but there comes a point in life that even if you think your fit enough to do something and have the skills to do it, you dont. I wish him the best. I am curious to what the Nascar drivers are really thinking. I would venture to say they arent that pleased by it. But Nascar drivers are trained machines and they will not say anything against him I for sure.

Cut-off and Intent. I think Hylton's venture into Daytona is nothing more than a money making affair. He wants to make the race, but will surely retire after 5-25 laps. Just my opinion. I've seen this happen so much over the past years. I just think he picked the wrong year to be a field filler.

Also, on Toyota. Mike Skinner will qualify for the Daytona 500 in a Bill Davis Toyota. Mike's got that kind of ability. He's a very good restrictor plate driver. But my money is on Mike not getting too comfy in the seat of that Toyota (as he is a part time effort) and one of the other full-time Toyota drivers, who didn't qualify, will get the call to drive the #23 Toyota for points purposes.

Hyton is a tough ole geezer thats for sure .With Richard Childress HP , anything is possible.I'm just hoping my old team (Morgam -McClure ) can assist the Ward Burton comeback...Unfortunately, they need a few more Benjamins to make it go a tick faster..
