70'S Funny cars (1 Viewer)

That's one of Bill Pratt's sites. In addition to the enormous Draglist.com, he also has this one and 60'sfunnycars.com. They're all great sites.

Thanks for all you do, Bill! :)

Yup, have them as my Favorites. Go back from time to time. Always enjoy going down memory lane with the old Floppers.

Between Pratt and Ewald the internet is really the greatest photo museum of drag racing in the world. Ewald started charging to visit www.wediditforlove.com a few years ago, but it's the best 15 dollars I waste every quarter on the internet. Give his site a try as he does have a free teaser section. I guess I just continue to live in the '60s...sigh. What can you say about Bill's sites. If you haven't visited and you understand more then POWERade racing you owe it to your self to give them a try.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. I could not do the sites without a worldwide army of VOLUNTEER contributors. Don't forget that Jeff Thomas originated 70sfunnycars.com and ran it for years before the duties of his job (airline crash investigator!) began to take too much of his time. Danny White and I were proud to take it over and continue the tradition. In addition to 60sfunnycars.com and 70sfunnycars.com, we have obtained the 80sfunnycars.com domain name and will commence that series soon. Danny already has three pages up on draglist.com that we will convert to the new site as soon as I can put the seconds together. Thanks again for all the kind words, and don't forget to check the drag lists to ensure that your car (or your favorite's car) is recorded correctly. bp

Kwel Ron... Book marked it... hey, you going to Petersburg 6th tru 8th?

Naw, I blew a truck engine to the tune of a little over $9,000 over a month ago. I irresponsibly ( and I'd do it again! :) ) had been putting too much of my maintenance fund into the classic nitro funny car that I'm putting together (80 Omni that's in my avatar). The company I'm leased to was nice enough to loan me the money, but it's coming out at $500 a week until mid December, so I'm just doing time and have no life for a few months.

Here's another page with some great pics. http://canney.net/crimedog/

I know of a restoration in progress of an original 1970 Jungle Jim F/C, I'll try to get some pics this week.
