There was a lot of great racing and some spectacular blowups and crashes. The TV crew did a great job capturing it all, it's just a shame that it sounds like NHRA stepped on their own peckers and undermined the talent.
Would love to see NHRA experiment with some new camera angles this year. Drones are being used to capture some awesome footage just on personal vlogs on YouTube, yet the NHRA stuff seems so rigid and cookie cutter after a while. Nothing compares to being there, but some fresh new camera angles could change things up and add some excitement.
It would be really cool if they used the over head cable cameras that they use in NFL and the X-Games but I don't think they could keep up with the Fuel cars. The drones are definitely a great angle and a lot cheaper than renting a helicopter or blimp.
