The 29 year-old ADRL rookie who has won on both the NHRA and IHRA circuits in the past, added a Minuteman to his collection as well. The DeMotte, Indiana based Team sponsored by Powersource Transportation qualified in the #6 spot of the quickest ever ADRL Pro Extreme field, and earned wins over #1 and #2 in the points standings en route to their first win. Ennis, Texas – The Top Alcohol Funny Car Team of Mickey Ferro continues to enjoy success in their 2010 Racing Season. The RYCO Hydraulics sponsored alcohol funny car celebrated their first National Event win of the 2010 racing season earlier this year in Baytown, Texas and followed it up with another win in their second outing to Texas in Dallas at the 23rd Annual O’Reilly’s Fall Nationals. After only two qualifying attempts following a rain delay, Ferro’s team began Sunday’s festivities in the third qualifying position posting a 5.675. Mike Henry's D&M Racing team headed into the 41st Annual Governor's Cup looking to win after taking home a Quick 8 win at PINKS ALL OUT. Again, it would be up to his driving ability and team work if the were going to get the job done. Nitrous tuner Pat Watson was on hand consulting with the tune-ups and working with 14yr old crew chief Mike Henry III to get the car down the track. The team posted a best mph of 198.9 at 7.21 as they attempted to get after it on the front half of the track. Doug Winters and the Winters Racing Team won Saturday night’s Pro Mod event at Bristol Dragway during the Super Chevy Show. This just adds to the success that Doug has had at this track over his many years racing. His first national event win came at this track in 1996 when he won the Top Sportsman class at the IHRA Spring Nationals in his ’55 Hooters Chevy. This year’s Super Chevy Show format was different from years past. There would be a winner crowned on Saturday and Sunday.
