NORWALK, Ohio (June 27, 2026) – – Top Fuel points leader Shawn Langdon won the No. 1 qualifier and the Mission Foods #2Fast2Tasty NHRA Challenge at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals. Sunday’s race broadcast is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on FOX.

Langdon’s Kalitta Air Careers Top Fuel dragster was the quickest car in each of the four qualifying sessions, but Langdon and Crew Chief Brian Husen put on a show on Saturday. In the first Saturday session, Langdon made a 3.696-second pass a 339.70 mph, and in the final session, he reached the finish line in 3.695 seconds at 333.08 mph for his quickest pass of the weekend.

Langdon’s No. 1 qualifier is his fifth in the season’s first 10 races and the 27th of his career. The Mission Foods Challenge win is his third of the season adding to his wins in Chicago and Budds Creek, Md. With teammate Doug Kalitta’s four Mission Foods Challenge wins, Team Kalitta has seven Top Fuel wins in the season’s first nine Mission Foods Challenges.

Today’s Mission Foods Challenge, a rematch of the semifinal and finals from the last race in Bristol, Tenn., was decided in an all-Team Kalitta final round. In the semifinals, Langdon dispatched Tony Stewart, and Kalitta defeated Antron Brown to reach the final. The deciding race was close for a bit, but Langdon was off the starting line first, never trailed and won comfortably.

“It’s been a great year so far,” Langdon said. “The whole Kalitta Motorsports team has done fantastic job. This is one of those seasons you dream about as a kid – having a good car and competing for wins and hopefully later in the season, compete for the championship. For right now, we’ll just ride the wave, keep collecting checks and trophies. I’d like to thank everybody with the team and our sponsors like Kalitta Air, New Image Building Services, Gerber, Revchem and Dayco for helping us get to this point. All of this is happening because of the work that’s been put in over the years. Brian continues to do a fantastic job, and he has a great handle on the race car.”

With 15 Top Fuel cars in Norwalk, Langdon will have a first-round bye on Sunday. Kalitta is the No. 9 qualifier and will race No. 8 qualifier Billy Torrence setting up a potential Langdon-Kalitta second round. In Funny Car, J.R. Todd is the No. 6 qualifier and will race No. 11 qualifier Jordan Vandergriff in Sunday’s opening round.
