Your Favorite Part About The Season Opener?

The performances of the DSR top fuel dragsters.
I'm glad they were not allowed to run the canopy or every one would be *****ing about a performance advantage!:)

1)Larry Dixon in the boot. He was great and I think that they should invite him more often. After he left, I went on the internet to see the results and turned off the tv until the final rounds.
2) Gary and Jeggie. Jeg still strikes fear on the starting line and Gary, just wanted him to win.
Didn't like seeing Courtney treated like she won the final round. I bet Alexis will not get the same treatment if she wins a final before Courtney.

Dont know about my fav part, Top Fuel was extremly close and competitive and Funny Car is always like that. Was happy to see Force win. Jeggie is a machine, proven yet again from the 14th qualified position to the finals.

But I will say this, other than the 3.74 328 bomb Spencer put on the top fuel field in the semis, 3 runs stuck out in my head for some reason.

1. Gary Densham running 4.10 1st rd. Thats awesome for that team.
2. Clay Millican running 3.81 1st rd. That had to be a career best for them.
3. Tim Wilkerson running 4.06 1st rd. I dont recall him going that quick before, he might have, but if that isint his career best its awful close to it.

Pomona was very entertaining, wish I could have been there.

It was fun to see Jeg going from a really rough time in qualifying to stepping it up in every single pass they made. And those lights! Nice job.

That pass by Massey in the semi's was breathtaking. I will vividly remember forever that thing carrying the fronts nearly to the 330 cones. It was amazing.

Then there was Courtney and the crew running their bracket car -- five passes all within 3hun. She handled a car that proved to be a handful in the last part of the track with confidence and aplomb. And it looked like nothing could wipe the smile off her face after the round 1 win.

But most of all it's the start of a new year. Everyone has a chance, all kinds of people showing up with new hardware and even those with last year's setup still starting out fresh. And it pushed me back into the garage to get the car ready to rock. It's worth the trip every year.

Not a moment I would like to dwell on very much but Edwards just stage the damn car right an not give a Christmas present to car you could beat in 4th gear.

1. Gary Densham going to the semis.
2. John Force and Spencer Massey winning.
3. Clay beating that Kalid Balooshi guy.

Were you and Shannon best friends in a previous life? Such immature comments!!

Personally, I'd say something along the lines of Clay running a PB and upsetting an Al Anabi car - because that .81 was damn awesome IMO!! However we all know you don't like Balooshi because of his race, so I guess you could be 'excused' for your childish remark. How sad it is that you can't accept other people from other countries.

My highlights in no particular order.

Gary Densham 4.10 in the opening round and making it to the semi's
Randy Goodwin and Daniel and teams win in TAFC
Demke finding form in the final and running another .20
Mike Austin walking away from his crash.
Spencer, Phil and Todd and teams awesome run in the semi. 328.62 is huge!!
Seeing two women make the FC field, I just wish Alexis made it out of round 1.
Morgan Lucas' consistent runs.
All 3 DSR cars running well in TF
Clay's .81
Jeg going to final on driving ability.
Lesenko's upset win.

There were a few more, but they were some of my favorites. A great start to the 2012 season. I got a feeling it is going to be an excellent 2012.

Just wait till the damn Aussies try and take over! Freaking kangaroo loving foster beer drinking crocodile hunting homo's if you ask me.

Hahahaha. You crack me up brother. Looking forward to watching some racing with you later in the year. Ill try not to hit on you with my kangeroo :p

Tim ran a 4.02 somewhere last year.

Wilk getting his first round win at the Winternationals since 2004.
Densham going to the semis.
Clays 3.81.
I liked Dixon's commentary although I would rather see him in a car.

"Arab" isn't a race. In fact, arabs are actually caucasian. And FYI, some of my favorite actors and models are from the UK and Australia. So there! :p

Hight going from outside to #1
Densham going 4.10/Semis
Clay 3.81
Wilk 4.06
Spencer Massy 288 to the 1/8 mile. Are you kidding me?

I think Jeg could get some of these guys to choke if he was driving a stock Prius.

Amen, Brother Mopar! I just needed one more shot of Courtney Force standing somewhere to make my day perfect! Actually I was a little bit surprised that there wasn't more Force overkill...there was actually less Force stuff than I expected...although I would have liked to seen one less "interview" with Force or Courtney and possibly a little coverage of the drama surrounding Terry Haddock's struggles to build a new car in time to qualify. Oh well, so it goes. ;)
