Wow....

ever since Eric's accident (hard to believe we are coming up on 3 years now:() JFR has been looking for a safety company to work with.....i guess they finally found one

What exactly is the suprise? Simpson makes great safety products and is obviously the leading company to help make this sport even safer. I think JFR and Simpson is a great deal...anything that helps to make our sport safer makes me, a young racer, happy. Besides, the original NHRA logo read "Dedicated to Safety"...

And what was the name of the company he dumped,...I mean...did he used to deal with?

.

Everyone better start using an alias because when Bill Simpson gets wind of this thread we'll all get a cease and dissist .
Actually, it has been kind of boring lately, anyone have Big Bill's number:rolleyes:

I find it amusing that most of the "history" of Simpson Safety Equipment (since 1959) came under the direction of it's former owner, Bill Simpson. Nothing like bragging about something someone else is responsible for, huh? Good luck, John and crew, I'll stick with Impact.

I would have thought Force & Medlen would have been smarter than joining up with Simpson Products.
The real person behind the inovations in safety is Bill Simpson, now IMPACT.
Bill always has been and still is the leader in safety product development for all types of racing around the world.
Bill started in drag racing and has branched out into all forms of racing but his heart has always been with drag racing.
Bill has always been a racers man. I doubt if there are very many long time racers that don't know Bill personally. He has always made a point of knowing the racers and what they need. He and his business along with Fred Crow as his right hand man probably saved more lives in motor racing than another other person or business in racing.

Im no racer but I clearly remember the threads that went on all over the message boards when the impact stuff failed spec that seemed to get alot of people running scared. Nobody can deny the things Bill Simpson has done for safety over the years but I highly doubt a guy like John Force who makes a huge deal of the safety stuff would make a decision like who he chooses to get safety equipment from im sure he wouldn't make that decision lightly.
