Was personally happy with Courtney winning but would have been okay with Capps as well. Both drivers look great for the rest of the season if they can keep this up.

Huh? Keep up what ... win the next 22 races each? That's kind of obvious isn't it? Not realistic, but obvious. Everyone wants to win and keep winning. Wouldn't that be a common thought amongst the winners coming out of every Winternationals??

Last year it was Massey, John Force, and Greg Anderson winning the Winternationals. I bet all 3 had the same high hopes also. Massey was the only title contender.

Its the first race in a 23 race race marathon to the countdown. Could make a difference, might not. Only time will tell. Certainly the way each of those teams wanted the new season to start. Now its about consistency over the long haul.

I'm not a Courtney fan, but she was a solid and consistent performer all weekend. She earned the win. Even if Tasca did dive via redlight in the semis. JUST KIDDING!!

Too bad she had to share the National spotlight with Danika. Could have been a big(ger) splash on the positive publicity for NHRA drag racing.
