They lost Mark Ingersol to illness and I think his loss really has them struggling. Is it the fuel? who knows but I do know somebody that I trust tell me he liked the Sunoco better than the VP. EE was back within .04 in rd 1 and hopefully for them that's a good sign.Is the fuel really that different that Elite suddenly dropped a Tenth in performance? I’m sure they have been working their asses off; really surprised Elite is still so far behind KB. Is it more that fuel change? I am really curious. Can anyone chime in? Alan?
Yeah I was shocked and glad to see she picked up 6 tenths overnight. They lost Mark Ingersol to illness and I think his loss really has them struggling. She was .07 behind in qualifying but picked up .03 in rd 1 but that's good in P/S.Yeah I was shocked and glad to see she picked up 6 tenths overnight.
Glad to see that, .987 to the 60 is better and especially her .019 RT. Still, that .03 improvement was likely due to improved DA - Anderson and Glenn also picked up, each running 6.48s. Erica's 6.52@210mph doesn't stand a chance against two KB cars running .970s 60-foots, .04 quicker ETs and 3mph faster (213 vs 210). Better pull one of those double-0 reaction times out of the hat, sweetie....She was .07 behind in qualifying but picked up .03 in rd 1 but that's good in P/S.
That's why I said losing Ingersol has really hurt them.. There's several potential areas to look at but my crystal ball says the problem may lie in the bellhousing.
could it just the be clutch setup? Greg Anderson Constantly outruns the field by 3 or 4 hundredths yet i believe his MPH is typically middle of the packNot an engineer, asking out of total ignorance - if the MPH is there, could it be a chassis set up issue?
When they won 15 races one year and was making perfect run after perfect run NHRA issued a shock clarification rule for P/S and they came back to the pack. They started spinning and shaking the tires.Ever consider the engine whisperers of Hendrick's Nascar teams might have whispered a thing or two in Greg's ears? When Jason Line joined KB Racing from JGR, they took a big step forward.
no! they came back to the pack when Gregs engine builder started blabbing their technology to other teams. It was reported that Allen Johnson was the team using the super $$ shocks! When they won 15 races one year and was making perfect run after perfect run NHRA issued a shock clarification rule for P/S and they came back to the pack. I follow P/S closely and I'm telling you it was when the shock clarification rule was implemented that they came back to the pack. That's my opinion and you have yours.no! they came back to the pack when Gregs engine builder started blabbing their technology to other teams.
