Why is Bob Vandergriff so upset about the whole J.R. deal?

I feel like BV (the driver) totally gets what happened. The guys has been around the strip awhile you know. BV (the owner) feels the frustration of trying to plant a seed as an Owner (only) and his plans have been wiped off the chalkboard by a mega-team. Wish him the best and happy when I see Larry Dixon back in action.

I think the way it worked out is great for all involved. Bob couldn't give JR a full time ride right now. JR gets a trial race offer from Kalitta.
Kalitta like what he sees and offers a full time ride. Bob releases JR. I don't blame Bob, there are too many great drivers out there.
Melanie Troxel, Hillary Will, Doug Herbert, Larry Dixon, to name a few. So its a win-win-win-win -win.

JR gets a full time ride
Connie gets the driver he wants
Larry gets a ride
Bob gets a great driver
Grubby keeps a job with Kalitta camp

Vandergriff will be fine, there's no shortage of driving talent out there. When the subject of potential drivers, for any team, comes up, I'd like to see more sportsman names mentioned. There are a ton of great alky drivers out there who could be future superstars.

For the first time in years a driver leaves to a better team with out the usual spin............."We wish Him luck over there He'll fit in good "etc.............. and people are complaining about that ? Makes no sence at all.

Why would anyone turn down Conrad for a driving job, or any job with Kallita racing for that matter. I have known the Vandergriff's for years and have seen them Park the race deal several times over sponsor money issues. I have had My own dealings with them in the past and its they're way or the highway,

Why would Todd want to be a part time driver for Bob's deal when He could be full time with the best out there.

Its buisness alright. I think the lack of contract between JR and BV jr says it all. Bob jr trying to start a bitter rivalry out of it is just lame .

Larry Dixon is a three time NHRA World Champion and probably one of the best spokesmen for the sport of drag racing, having him on team Vandergriff would be a marketer's dream. Congratulations to both Bob Vandergriff Jr. and Larry Dixon Jr.

That is Spot on Darr, but remember the marketing world is fickle as the fans, Have to see this playout.
