There's something called a Monkey Trap. It involves putting a piece of candy through a small hole in a heavy coconut.

The monkey slips his hand in and grabs the candy. Then he finds he can't pull his clenched fist back out through the opening.

The monkey wants the candy so badly that he can't let go and slip his hand free.

With the heavy coconut on his arm he can't run or climb, which makes him easy to catch. Because he can't let go of the thing he so desires....he suffers a worse fate.

I'm ready to let go.

lol....yes. Everything's fine. This particular story could apply to many areas of one's life. Just thought I'd share and see if anyone else could use it for inspiration. :)

Party at Kelly's Saturday night... :D
She got the good stuff... :p

Luv ya Kel... :)

:D I spit on my screen. Dang you Ray.

(Although, it did need some cleanin').

Hey Kel - we tell our family members regularly to back off the good stuff - so I hope you don't take offense.

Not sure where you're going with this Kelly, but this was one of my Dad's favorite stories! He was an Admiral in the Pacific during WW2 and said that a little bit of greed might be good, but ya might need to let go before you become an islander's dinner - :D

yeah its way too much deep thinking for me :p

I think Kelly is trying to let go of the candy, but it took a guy born in the 20's to unlock that code for me anyhow... :D That's why he has survived, and I may not if he comes back and reads this...

All in love Jim... :)

I know how you feel Kel...

You can also catch Raccoons this way. Put something shiny/smelly in a box and the raccoon will also not let go. Good way to keep them out of your garbage/barn/strawberry patch.

Y'all are cracking me up!

Thanks for the well wishes for Deano and the team. I'm off to go find some Glass Marker/Paint for the car windows! WAHOO! :D

i have a mental image of a guy with a coconut stuck
on his hand.......making a saluting motion........out cold:D

Don't worry Kel. I read ya loud and clear! Great analogy.
