Who's In the Cornwell FC

ask Capps what a body cost.
How many of his have been able to be reused without the integrity being compromised?
They do seem pretty much junk when they get like this:

Capps lost more bodies than most this past season. I wonder how such expenses are accounted for with each season's budgets? Does a team like Capps assume they will destroy at least, say, 3 bodies during the year?

I wish TJ was on the short list but I don't think he is. I'm thinking Ida and Alexis.
I hope with most of the funding in place that Tommy Johnson will be the replacement driver, John Force is all about winning, and T.J. is ready to hit the ground running. If the performance of the car is there, T.J. won't be a weak link. He and Jack are former teammates so a minimum of personality conflicts also. Obviously I'm biased watching him begin his racing at Eddyville , in Iowa. I'm going to bet on it.

Well, the more that you re-read that top article, it pretty much points to TJ.

Alexis did start her career with Kalitta and Del as CC.
From '20 to '24 Alexis drove for DC Motorsports. DC is Del and Connie (Worsham)

I had forgotten that lineage.

So how do things shake out with her presumably operating out of the Force camp in 2026? Who will own the car? Would she be paying for the operation (as in the past) from the family business, with that as the "sponsor", and the Force team owning the car, parts, transporters, etc?

If her outlay of $$ is about the same as before, as she moved from DC to JCM (I think) to Force, what is she gaining by moving to Force? A better run operation overall? She won't get access to any Jimmy Prock tuning info now, so is she any further ahead than before?

I wonder if DC Motorsports is still an operation for hire in 2026?

Considering that Alexis has never owned the FC operations she has driven, it’s not likely that will change going to Force.

Yes, Del will have leasing options in 2026, and will also be driving at all IHRA races.

Alexis didn’t run for Del in 2025. She took her funding over to JCM for one season with Mike Neff tuning. At least from the rumor mill, she will be taking her funding to Force and with Neff tuning. I’m sure Force has one or more cars sitting around ready to run. Worsham had Bode, Nataas, and himself driving his car in 2026. I would assume we will se him more in IHRA in 2026 with the occasional NHRA appearance.

Alan...and Paul, thanks for setting me straight. I had no idea Del owned the car Alexis drove when they were operating under the Kalitta umbrella. Bad assumption on my part. I should have figured that out when Del still had the complete Toyota Supra bodied funny car after he and Alexis split.

It will be just like last year, she brings her suit, helmet and cash. Nothing against JCM or DCM, I really like Del but don't you thing driving for JFR and all his resources will be a huge step up?

Del did not own the car when Alexis drove for Kalitta from '11 to '17, Connie K. did.
Then she took a break.
When she came back in '20, she was driving for Del and Connie (W).

Why did I always remember this story? That it was always her and Del's team? Was this a bogus story? Charles???
