Me too. But Paul would undoubtedly bring additional funding to JFR while being highly capable of winning in it. Advantage Paul Lee.
And if Paul goes to JFR to replace Austin, we'll be losing a full time car.

you're right about losing a full time car. that would suck. on the other hand Paul is a long time friend of mine and I loved watching him mix it up with the other teams and it sure would be cool to see him in the Cornwell ride

Nothing against paul,hell of a driver btw,bit dont ya think cornwell wants some1 younger? And if he does bring money with him or whoever maybe the RUMOR about jfr almost being broke is somewhat true??
I agree that this is the problem with the Paul Lee to JFR rumor. However, if the Prock team ends up being a second full-time car at Tasca, we would break even re full-time F/C teams with the Prock and Paul Lee moves. But it sure would be better if we gained an F/C team in '26.

there's a lot of great reasons that paul lee and team would be a great fit at jfr.
- paul is no spring chicken, but he's a great businessman, team owner, and driver. this would be an excellent opportunity for him to
race and drive at the highest level while he is still able and/or wants to (think gary densham)
- if jonnie lindberg remains with team, his future could be brighter as he is surrounded by all the tuning talent at jfr, much less an
opportunity to remain with jfr into future
- i'm sure paul's businesses would benefit from a merger into jfr umbrella.
- paul's existing funds combined with reported cornwell funds = winner
guess it hasn't been announced yet, but i would be happy if this 'rumor' comes to fruition.

Just my opinion, but since everyone is seemingly a fan of getting younger drivers and attractive women and such into racecars for their visual appeal, I feel the opposite may have an argument. Know who a few of my favorites are? Al Hoffman, Bob Bode, Tim Wilkerson, Gary Densham and John Force himself. Know why? I can relate to them; they EARNED my respect by doing it the hard way. I know racing has changed, but I absolutely don't care how young or good looking a driver is. I want to see someone with heart succeed, not a driver who brought a pile of someone else's money to the team. I know it takes huge amounts of money to run a fuel car and I'm aware of how business runs, I just get nostalgic for racers more relatable.

Understand what you're saying and agree.
Here's the question: Did it change your buying pattern? Did you become a customer of anyone because of the driver of the racecar?
Undeniable fact of business, if you gain a customer when he/she is 55 you have a customer for ten years. But if you gain a customer when he/she is 25 you have one for fourty years. And most 25 year olds don't identify with a 50 year old driver.
Unless you are selling something that most 25 year olds can't afford or aren't interested in. Or if it's a B2B deal.
Not saying that it is right, but that's how it is. In my shop all my welding equipment is Lincoln for one reason. They support NHRA Drag Racing. I certainly could have saved money buying other stuff, but I always supported the sponsors.

dan, follow along. just a couple posts ago in this thread was a link to a statement from paul lee regarding '26.
josh hart in jfr dragster. it's old news. fast jack not affected. cornwell FC unknown at this time.

As far as "kids" buying from sponsors you better get Apple, Uber, Door Dash, Only Fans, Amazon on the side of the cars. There are a few younger couples on the next block, they go to work, come home, never are outside, ever. Two to three times a day a car delivers them food, delivery trucks drop off their living supplies, pet food ........................

Alexis hasn't been driving "her car". She was driving for Del and last year for JCM. She'll be driving a Force car.
