Where's WJ?

I know they were testing this past week and decided not to go to Houston. With no sponsor funding and no testing in the off season like they would like, gotta take the time somewhere to test. They only have a couple or three crew guys between the cars and it's tough. I'm not making any excuses for WJ,I'm just saying how I see it. When I get the chance to talk to WJ,he's upbeat and acts no different than when he had full funding. I'm sure he would like to be running better and going rounds but he can only do so much with so little.

Mike: on the $$$!!!
Sad too!
Arlene (Mom J) didn't update since early Thurs so I had no clue!!!
Hope they can kick some ass next wknd!!!!!!!

I've told WJ on more than one occasion that if I hit the lottery that the car would have A Poole & Johnson on the side.:)

It's only going to get worse I'm afraid. Money keeps getting harder to get, and the costs keep climbing. I read an article about Larry Morgan in a magazine recently, and he was talking about this. There are guys using rear-ends in PS that cost stupid money, are worth a couple hundreths, and if I remember correctly, are good for around 8 runs. In most cases, in drag racing, "Professional" is a misnomer, IMO. Professional, I believe, means that's how you make a living. In reality, other than a few cases, the pro classes are a playground for the wealthy. It's a shame that WJ & Kurt are not able to run the full pull.
