When you think Top Fuel is too fast to watch.........

Of course they're powerful, those are the biggest crew chiefs I've ever seen! :D Sorry, it's late...

If I heard that announcer right, the winner went 108 MPH. I'm guessing that is real MPH, so wonder what that converts to in scale MPH. Talk about a blur..... wow!

any Simpsons fans here? that video reminds me, when homer's rich boss, sponsored a drag race and then complained that the race between two top fuel cars, was over to quick and he subsequently ordered them to slow it down, so he could see. The next run, They were so slow, across the finish line, neither cars parachute blossomed ... funny stuff !!!!

Holy crap, no wonder why they take so long lining them up. There really is no steering, those suckers are quick

Geez Louise, and here I thought my Traxxas rally car was quick.
Those dragsters are amazing.

Reminds me of long ago slot racing, at the time they did a scale 1/4 mile (55ft) in under a second. 6 volt armatures running on 36 volt power. Silicone tires on Formica track, wadded up nylon parachute that they"flew into. There was a hollow core door at end of track that had a few holes in it . . .

I remember seeing slot cars just like this, at some event I went to when I was still in L.A. Remember being impressed with the little cars. do they still do racing like that?

When I'm not on the road I race on Wed and Sat nights at Buena Park raceway in Buena Park Ca. My buddy Robert Shear who does the clutch on Bob Bodes team also races with me. I just had a car built for Jim Campbell a few weeks ago. Eric Medlen use to come and race with us, and Jimmy Prock and Jack Beckman has brought their kids buy to run some of our cars. Most tracks run on 16 volts now and use glue in the shutdown area instead of parachutes.
