Started working in the parts department (under the table) at a Chrysler/Plymouth/Volvo dealership at 14. Did that through High School.

Washed parts and assisted on Olde Gold III Super Pro that raced at E-town & Atco in the early eighties.

Pumped gas at a station just outside Great Adventure before entering the NJ Turnpike - yeah, it kept me busy.

Joined the Navy as an Air Traffic Controller in 1985 & been there ever since:
- Boot Camp in San Diego, CA
- 'A' School in Millington, TN
- Diego Garcia B.I.O.T. (Tower)
- NAS Whiting Field in Milton, FL (Two towers & a radar GCA unit)
- NAS Sigonella, Sicily (Tower & GCA)
- NAS Brunswick, ME (My favorite shore duty station) (Tower & Approach Control)
- USS Constellation (CV-64) based in San Diego, CA
- NAS Fallon, NV (Tower & Approach Control) - Also worked part time at a Kragen as an Asst. Manager.
- USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) based in Bremerton, WA
- COMNAVAIRPAC ATC Quality Assurance inspector based in San Diego, CA

My first job was at a Shakey's Pizza for 3 months, then Doorman at a Movie theater. Since '77 I've been in the Printing Business. In '88 I gave Radio a try, lasted there for about 5-6 years on a part-time basis.

part time manure scooper, barn builder, hay stacker, tractor driver - 9 horses and I don't ride - but I get to drive the tractor and buy tools (but we NEED that miter saw...).

Brett

I know all about that kinda work Brett. My family raises show animals (steers, heifers, lambs, hogs, goats, chickens, turkeys, rabbits, etc) and I work harder at the barn than I do at work!

Martin, who do you tour with? Or do you work for whoever needs you at the time?

Just got done with Black Eyed Peas this summer, straight into Alan Parsons Project, and now out with Chris Brown (R&B Hip Hop kid).. But the track record for the past 28 years is pretty impressive/frightining..

Didn't Shakey's sponsor a funny car? (not that you might want THAT name on your car, LOL)I barely remember the name of that pizza place.

What an amazing variety of occupations we've got here. What do they say? Truth is stranger than fiction? You can't make this stuff up? :D I've got a great appreciation for learning this stuff about all of you.

Holy shiat, Shakey's Pizza. Haven't heard that name brought up since my dad talked about working there as a teenager in Cleveland.
