Been paying 2.27 minus a .04 discount for diesel in Virginia for the last couple of weeks. I believe their gas is around 2.09.

LOL Jenn, ten bucks for VP. I think my last methanol invoice was around 2.60.

Concerning Chavez and Citgo, I remember hearing this in the news the other week about poor Alaska villages turning down his offers of free heating oil. Think I heard that he made similar offers to poor neighborhoods in NYC. He's doing what a good socialist does, trying to get the most vulnerable to prefer "government taking care of you" socialism instead of our "get off your butt and go earn it" capitalism.

I'm with Jackee on this one. I usually fuel at the same places every week, but if one of them happened to be Citgo I'd be looking elsewhere, even if it meant paying a higher price. I know it's a world market and that when we use more of another company's oil, that'll just create a shortage elsewhere in the world that Citgo will fill. Still won't do it, though. I'm not going to knowingly support a socialist who is bent on bringing this country down, even if only a small fraction of the profits makes it way to him.

here in NW NJ... $1.97-$2.09. Along some highways, it's higher.

Citgo is usually the lowest, but I, along with many Americans, no longer purchase Citgo gas. The company is owned by the Venezuelan Government whose dictator leader has said many times that he wants to bring down America . I'll be darned if I'll give him my money to help him do that.

Chavez has run off the American contractors and service companies and so oil pruduction in Venezuela is about half of what it should be. (no surprise)
