To think he didn't have to file a return makes him sound not so bright. And yeah, I believe I might have asked another tax guy....

Every year around tax time you hear some nut-burger on TV or the radio telling people that the Constitution says that you don't have to pay taxes.
About the same time each year you hear about people going to prison for not paying taxes. Coincidence? I think not.

I'm thinking he's saying that on the advice of an attorney. If you've ever had problems with the IRS ( not in the trucking business! ), one of the things they ask you is if you're aware that you had to pay tax.
