This is sure to make him a bigger name than the former IHRA Funny Car Champ has currently. We'll have to see if this means 4.0's or just mid to high teens. Either way it's great. He also claims to have a sponsorship deal to announce soon. Great news.

I really do hope this gets Terry headed in the right direction! Wayne will have to establish a baseline first, which may take a little while, but hopefully this will be a win, win for both of them!

Can he afford to blow up more than he already does!!:p:p

As far as I know Terry blamed alot of the on himself. He wanted to always do it himself, but he couldn't figure out how to do it well. I think Wayne could run a good program for him. Personally I'd be surprised if a 4.0's came out, I expect 4.12 or so, he'll at least be a challenger for a round win now.

Nice to see Wayne back out there.

We need to see some Tony McCallum type upsets!!

I think I would make the car run 4.20-4.25 a few times in a row clean before I would even try for a teen.

Sounds good, yet with the weather this weekend hard to say if that will even qualify, depends how serious teams take the forecast and if the teams decide to go for it or just tune to get in.

I know everybody has the goal of qualifying for the big show. That would be great.

I also think Terry would be happy with making consistant semi compeitive runs, building on a combination for the future, and making the turn off with the same amount of parts it left the starting line with. Making the show would be a bonus.

I wish them all the best, long time Dupuy fan.

All Terry has to do is resist the urge to meddle. I'm thinking if he get a round win in or two, he'll be content to let Wayne do his job.

I know a lot of people slag him for the blowups and incidents, but I really admire Terry and his team. A guy workin hard to make things happen, doin a lot of things himself.... I really admire that. Happy to cheer for and support them. Glad to see WayneO tuning again too.

I won't mention the driver or the crewchief, but around 93-94 a Low buck FC team was hurting stuff every run. A Big name crewchief offered to help them out, but seeing what they were running and what was in the trailer....he said "wanna run 5.20's (1994). You better buy some parts first!!!

Thats cool, hope it all works out for the team, never understood why the low buck teams get the bad rap of being leakers, I don't think blowing up your stuff has anything to do with how much money you got because if you are blowing up your stuff all the time then you are not saving money infact probably wind up spending more then the guys who arent hurting stuff.

Hope for good things for that team.

Glad to see WayneO back out there, it'll be fun to see what he can do. Terry just got married last week, and supposed to be announcing a new sponsor. Things are looking good for them right now. I hope Wayne gets his performance turned around.

Did Terry really want to do it all hisself, or was it out of necessity due to not having the money to pay someone to oversee the tuning? Either way, I wish them both success, it would be great to see an underdog win a few rounds!

Like to see these two guys persevere and have some success on the track. They have both been through some unimagineable stuff in their personal lives. Best of luck to these two.

Q1 yesterday and they didn't even get to make a run because they couldn't get the body to latch! I hope it doesn't come back to bite them in the ass with the impending weather!

Good luck guys!

Yeah that sponsorship money makes the difference !
Wayne has been tuning for a long time !
I hope they become the hot Item and give the big guys a run for their money !

Two really good guys IMHO. A good tuner can minimize parts breakage and pay for himself rather quickly.
