This petition is for congress to pass bill, so US can drill for new oil and develop new sources of energy and stop dependency on foreign oil. *PLEASE VOTE* the American people can make the changes needed if we all get on same page together.

Sure I can.

I write letters to my Congressmen all the time. I have also talked with my Congressman (House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, Democrat - MD). I wish they'd just lift the offshore drilling ban already man. And get into the reserve. We're bleeding at this point.

I'd also like to see more regulation on oil speculation. The local paper here in DC says gas prices would be $2.00/gal. at current supply and demand rates.

So, what's causing prices to be higher. I'd love to ask these oil speculators some questions myself.

Like I said in a previous thread; I know I'm getting screwed and it doesn't even feel good.

yes, we are getting screwed.
there's more than one factor driving this price surge and i can't figure
out which one/s are the root cause.

this b.s. about india/china; yes, it's true they're growing,
but those countries did not double their energy consumption
in one year as our price at the pump has.

still looking for truth; and it wouldn't surprised me if the people behind
this petition are part of the problem
