Ummm, HELLO ESPN???

Great, another delay.

Women's softball game on AND mother nature opened up so there is a rain delay and instead of cutting to the race they show another damn softball game from yesterday.

ESPN2 - this is getting ridiculous.

No kidding! Maybe an update on the crawler to let us know when (and if) the race is going to be carried? Softball running long is not unprecedented--having a rain delay and going to a rerun of a softball game from yesterday is...this is sad, ain't it?

I love softball. Grand daughter is an all star, and Jenny Finch is hotter than anything I see at NHRA. A couple hundred thousand kids from 5 on through college, so there's a huge audience.

BUT

This is the 21st century ESPN. How difficult is it to schedule 2 events that take place on the same day?

Re: Great, another delay.

Softball is a stick and ball sport and that takes precedence because that is what people know and like. Not saying I agree with that...

Tom, I'm not sayin' that I've never tuned into women's softball (hey you gotta like women playing sports with makeup on)... but with all the crap that has been on ESPN2 today (none of which was current) that the finals could have been but on earlier and then delay the softball. They could have edited out the rain delay and had a streamlined show -- oh, wait that's what they do with the drag races! Never mind...

Oh, and by the way, I don't know what's worse: How many miles Force puts on his scooter or the debate of a hat vs. a visor... you know sweat burns when it gets in your eyes. ESPN gets its commentators from a common gene pool I guess.

Perhaps it's time for the NHRA to see if there are other networks interested in showing the national events. As much as NHRA is willing to pay, surely someone else would be interested.... maybe Speed or VS?

I've defended ESPN in the past, but this sort of thing is really getting tiresome.

Okay, I know the results, listened to the audiocast, have my ladders, and once more, I only turned on the TV to watch my fav team win... not really pissed off, just reminded myself why I DO NOT WATCH NHRA DRAG RACING on TV anymore.

And Glendora wonders why they can't build a fan base.

d'kid

I'm with you Karl, I wanted to see Connie smile! But seriously, I think the folks in Glendora refuse to accept the fact that a large percentage of THE FANS dvr the program to watch at their leisure. Or, in my case, have the pitcher of martinis already mixed and ready, a few friends over, and... oh well

Because of a rain out in Girls Softball.... we sit here waiting for Drag Racing that's on schedule. WTF ESPN!!

I've officially lost all respect I've ever had for ESPN, this is just an absolute joke of a broadcast channel. If anybody at ESPN is reading these, you people suck!
