Todd Tutterow and Team WYO had a great start on the 2008 season opener at Piedmont Dragway's Big Dog race last night by qualifying at the number 1 spot with a 4.18 ET.
First round of eliminations Tutterow took on new comer Darrin Hoyle, after Tutterow did his burnout in the 41 Willy's something happened to it, it would not go into reverse, while Tutterow tried his best to back up Hoyle patiently waited at the starting line on him, while others tried to get Hoyle to stage and not wait on the veteran driver Hoyle refused, he wanted a piece of that Tutterow action and action is what the crowd got as well. Tutterow ran a 4.23 et to Hoyle's 4.45 et. We would like to thank Hoyle and his crew for the great sportsmanship and look forward to racing with them more this season. On to second round, Tutterow's 4.16 et was good enough to bet Andy Beal's 4.24 et. In the finals it's Tutterow and Gardner, Tutterow's 41 Willy's just over powers the track but Tutterow never gives up, in and out of the throttle looking like a bucking bronco Tutterow runs a 4.83 et but can not quit catch Gardner's 4.26 et.
It was a great Thursday night of racing and thanks to all of the fans that came by to see us we appreciate your support and we looking forward to an exciting 2008 season.
