Toronto Pro Mod Power

Toronto Pro Mod racers Raymond Commisso and Tony Pontieri are looking to
have a great outing at this weekends Skull Shine World Nationals at Norwalk
Raceway Park Aug 25-27, in Norwalk, Ohio. With both cars coming from the Al Billes Racing stable, you know there is a strong chance that either car can qualify at the top or win the race.

The Commisso driven P&R Racing entry is a beautiful G-Force Race Cars Inc. built 67 Cynergy Composites Camaro. The Pontieri driven Quality Plus Compressors Racing entry, a 57 Chevy BelAir, was built by none other than Tim McAmis Race Cars. Both are true examples of great entries from the “Great White North” in the exciting class of IHRA Pro Modified. With both cars under the watchful eye of Al Billes, these teams are looking for successful race weekends. The P&R Racing crew chief Paulo Dalimonte explains, “ We have run well in testing, but yet to prove it at an IHRA race. We are a new team that will be hoping to break through here at Norwalk. I have all the faith in my team. Like they say ‘good things take time’. I hope we prove ourselves here”.

Owner Rob Sporring states, “We are head over heels into this deal. I trust our guys and know that they will make the right decisions. We have all the pieces in place for a great making. We just need to be focused and achieve our goals”.

Both teams will test on Thursday at Toronto Motorsports Park. Commisso says, “ Getting clean runs in this car is what I’m focused on. Every lap I gain
confidence and feel more comfortable. We stayed after the Martin event and
made runs and that is also our plan on Thursday at Toronto. It’s all about making runs and learning what the car wants”.

With talk of over 50 Pro Mod entries at Norwalk, one can only expect nothing but a great show from drag racing's most exciting class. The action gets
underway on Friday, August 25 at the Skull Shine World Nationals. Stay tuned for all the results.
